Learn something new and get creative in one of the many interactive workshops.

There are so many arts & crafts activities for youngsters to get involved in and the vast majority of the activities are free of charge.

Check out who will be hosting hands-on learning and play stations, and arts and crafts activities at CountryTastic in 2025 below. Many more activities will be announced soon!

Stitch with Kate

During this ‘Make and Take’ activity,  children will be able to sew their own farm animal. All materials will be pre-cut and needles threaded allowing the focus to be on the sewing itself. Children as young as 3 should be able to access the activity with the support of their accompanying adult.

Chocolate Workshop with Chocotastic

Join Choccotastic to take part in a fun chocolate workshop. Please note there will be a £2.50 per participant for this activity.

‘Dig – Plant – Grow’ Workshops with former Blue Peter gardener, Chris Collins

Little ones can join Chris Collins in making cress heads in recyclable pots, making a mini allotment with micro-greens and get composting with the help of worm friends.

Reading Nook and Colouring Area

Rosie’s Book Store will be hosting a reading nook for children to read with their families as well as colouring activities to keep them busy!

Face Painting

Children will be able to have their faces painted with fantastic, colourful designs of their choosing. Please note, that there will be a surcharge for face painting.

 

Pottery Workshop

Pinch Pot of Posies – Model a vase of clay flowers under the expert tutelage of Eastnor Pottery & The Flying Potter. The choice of bloom is up to you, daffodils, tulips, roses, anything goes! Take your creation away on the day to airdry and paint at home. No previous experience of working with clay required just a desire to be creative and have fun.

 

Herefordshire & Worcestershire Earth Heritage Trust Fossil ID

There will be chance to view range of fossils, rocks and minerals including Vernon the Velociraptor!

Kids could even bring their own fossil to be identified and have a go at making a badge!

 

Worcestershire Guild of Spinners Spinning and Weaving Demos

There will be demonstrations of spinning and weaving with some opportunities for children to participate.

Cotswold Dairy Butter Making

Cotswold Dairy will show children how to make cream into butter. They will also offer colouring / information sheets and have educational boards for the children to learn more about dairy products and different breeds of cows.

Make Rainbow Wraps and Smoothies Using a Bike

Children can get involved in making healthy and tasty wraps and learn all about the importance of not wasting food. They can also have a go at powering a blender using a bicycle to make their own delicious smoothies!

 

Hereford Museum’s Historical Object Education Display

The museum will be bringing historical objects for children to handle and learn about.

Croome Cuisine Cheese Making

Children will have great fun mixing and pressing cheese after watching an informative cheese-making demonstration.

 

WI Sun Flower Planting

Children can get planting sunflower seeds into compostable pots and play ‘pin the veg’ onto the mat as part of these fun educational experiences.

 

National Vegetable Society Gardening Activities

Have a go at planting seedlings and part in fruit to plant identification tasks.

Make Recycled Art with Art Studio Ross

Art Studio Ross will be showing children and their families how to turn recycling into awesome art.

Let’s Waste Less Activities

Let’s Waste Less will be bringing waste prevention and home composting activities, e.g. recycling quiz on how much UK households throw away each day.They will also bring some physical compost samples.

All About Bees

Worcestershire Beekeepers Association will be bringing a closed observation hive with a colony of honey bees. This will mean visitors can get a closer look at live bees, pollen and wax comb. They will also be bringing other activities including:
  • Candle rolling using sheets of beeswax
  • A selfie screen with an apiary scene
  • A bee colouring pack
  • A selection of beekeeping equipment and hive products that can be handled and demonstrated
For the candle rolling and colouring packs there will be a small charge to cover the cost of materials. It is anticipated that it will be £1 for each of these activities. There will be no charge for the other activities.

RSPB Nature Workshops

The RSPB will be holding nature inspired workshops such as  helping children plant their own sunflower seed in an environmentally friendly pot, making a bird feeder using an apple.

Oakey Bear Willow Weaving

Make magical creatures and objects come to life using willow. Great fun for all the family!
